Laying Rumors to Rest

Here we have it, proof that Banjo does, in fact, have teeth. Approximately six teeth.

What Vacation Means...

I recently had the good fortune of taking a nice long weekend to a cabin at Wintergreen with my friends and family, and for the first time, Banjo and Millie got to come too! Now I'm pretty sure I know what a good vacation means to me (see first photo: snuggled up fireside with a good book and Millie in my lap), but I was surprised to see what Millie had in mind for vacay (see second photo: beer). I guess they grow up fast.

Banjo is so totally busted.

He tries to play it cool, but this picture is worth a thousand woofs. Wait for it...

He... actually... loves... his... sister.

I promised him I wouldn't show this photo to anyone due to its embarrassing nature so do me a favor and don't tell him I showed you, ok?

Sleeping on the Job

Working from home most certainly has its advantages. Like my new personal assistant! Yes, she's still in training, but I think eventually she'll get there.

Working hard!

Filing is overwhelming. I can't blame her for hiding.

My, oh my, oh my.

Oh, friends. It has been a while. And yes, I realize what an understatement that is. Things have been a little wild in Banjo and Millie world lately, but no, we haven't disappeared altogether. So to ease back in, enjoy this adorable photo of my two lovelies waiting for me to come in the front door. I love my life.

Thankful.

This Thanksgiving, we had the good fortune of the family coming to us this year! It was our first time hosting a holiday, so there was certainly a lot going on as we got ready for the family's arrival. Fourteen of us (nine of us, human) gathered round for our first feast in our home, and I think the dogs may have loved it even more than we did. Not only were they treated to some Thanksgiving turkey, of course, they also got to enjoy a nice walk by the river and tons of play time together. Banjo could really care less, but Millie really loved having her Mama Delaney and sister Penny visit. Even 15-year-old Great Uncle Spike made the trip, though most of the time he spent wandering the house in circles. And though the house was chaotic at times between the madness of dogs barking and a heap of dishes to prepare (and of course timed perfectly so they are all ready at the same time), it was truly such a wonderful holiday spent with (almost) all of the people I love so much. Here are just a few photos from our first Thanksgiving!
