Doggie Shoes, the Ultimate Pacifier!

Since this winter has been somewhat harsher than most, I thought it might be a good idea to get Millie a coat and some little shoes to protect her feet (from the cold snow and the chemical ice melt). Not knowing if she would actually be comfortable with them, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on some shoes that she wouldn't wear. So when I found a pair of shoes (I guess it's not actually a pair of shoes for a four-legged patron, is it? Two pairs?) for $4.99, I thought I would finally give them a shot. They are basically little fleecy socks that have soles on them.

Well, as it turns out, Millie is in fact NOT comfortable wearing shoes, I'm guessing for a number of reasons. Apparently, she has giant feet (it's all relative) because the size chart said a shih tzu needs a size small. We could only get two of the shoes on her feet (and that was after quite a struggle). But apart from the shoes being too small, they seemed to act as a pacifier / calming agent because Millie immediately sat down and appeared defeated. It gave us quite the laugh though. Check out the video of her in the silly shoes!
