Millie's New Toy

It was a crafty day here in the Banjo & Millie household! Not only did I make a fun lime green framed cork board, but I dusted off my old sewing machine that's been untouched for ten years, and made Millie my guinea pig. Though my handiwork may be far from perfection, Millie thought I did an awesome job. The messy stitches don't matter to her (and yes, the toy squeaks too!) She's the best cheerleader a girl could ask for. Here are some pics of her fun new toy. It's supposed to be a heart... Not sure why it looks like that. It turns out I'm not too good at sewing corners, but the cute fabric makes up for the fact that I'm not much of a  seamstress.

  1. So cute! I admire those who can sew. And Millie looks like she really loves her boomerang, NO, heart. (like I can talk)

  2. Hahaha, Elizabeth, you are so right. It certainly looks like a boomerang. I think you nailed it! Ah well, someday perhaps the toys I make for Millie will turn out as they are intended. Until then, thank goodness she loves anything that squeaks!

  3. Love it! I recently dusted my sewing machine off, too. I've always wanted to make dog toys out of old squeakers. It looks like Millie loved it. :)

  4. Thanks, Lori! I haven't sewed in so long, and I was never any good in the first place, so sewing for Banjo and Millie is ideal. They don't care how unrefined and shoddy my stitches are!
